Final Term Clearance Checklists

All items listed on the appropriate Final Term Clearance Checklist for the manuscript being written must be submitted to the Office of Graduate Studies Clearance Advisor by the final submission deadline of the semester you plan to graduate.  All signatures must be original and obtained prior to submitting your forms to the Clearance Advisor.  You may download your manuscript specific checklist from the “ETD Forms” page. 

ETD Q&A Sessions

Each semester, the Office of Graduate Studies hosts question and answer sessions for students writing Theses, Treatises and Dissertations.  All sessions will be held in room 201 Westcott Building.  Attendance is limited.  For reservations or questions concerning the Q&A sessions, please e-mail the Clearance Advisor at clearance@mailer.fsu.edu.

Summer 2008: 

  • Tuesday, May 27th, from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
  • Wednesday, May 28th, from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, June 10th, from  9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
  • Wednesday, June 11th, from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Important Information

  • Human Subjects Research—All research proposals involving Human Subjects must be reviewed by the University's Human Subjects Committee (IRB) prior to any interaction with the research subjects.  You must include a copy of your Human Subjects Committee (IRB) Approval Letter and Sample Informed Consent Form within the Appendices of your manuscript.  The application for Human Subjects Approval can be found at the Office of Research’s website.
  • Sample Informed Consent Forms can be found at the Office of Research’s website.
  • Animal Subjects Research (PDF)— No research involving Animal Subjects can be initiated until you have received Animal Subjects Approval (IACUC).  The IACUC application can be downloaded here. period for each term.
