Knowles Science Teaching Foundation (KSTF)

Knowles Science Teaching Foundation (KSTF) was established to enhance the quality of high school science and mathematics teaching. KSTF offers teaching fellowships to young men and women who have degrees in science or mathematics and want to teach high school physics, chemistry, Earth science or mathematics. The fellowship provides both financial and professional support for up to five years, including tuition assistance and a stipend while fellows participate in a recognized teacher credential program.

Florida's International Linkage Institute Programs

The state of Florida permits each Institute to award up to 1,050 credit hours, per academic year, to partner country students through the Non-Resident Tuition Exemption Program. Students in the program must be enrolled in one of Florida's state universities or community colleges and meet certain established academic and state-legislated criteria in order to qualify. These awards allow the foreign country students to study at in-state tuition rates.

College Board Scholarship Search

A scholarship search engine provided by the College Board on their website. The site also includes information on standardized testing (these are the folks that make the SAT and AP exams), paying for college, and other college information.

Community of Science

(COS) is the leading Internet site for the global R&D community. COS brings together the world's most prominent scientists and researchers at more than 1,300 universities, corporations and government agencies worldwide. COS provides tools and services that enable these professionals to communicate, exchange information and find the people and technologies that are important to their work. Included in these tools is COS Funding Opportunities that is updated daily and contains more than 23,000 records, representing over 400,000 funding opportunities, worth over $33 billion.

FedMoney.org

FedMoney.org is the most comprehensive FREE full-text online resource on all U.S. federal government student financial aid programs. Here you will find detailed and up-to-date information about (1) who can apply, (2) how to apply, (3) full contact info, and much more... for over 130 government loans and grants (scholarships, fellowships, traineeships) related to education.

FinAid

FinAid was established in the fall of 1994 as a public service. This award-winning site has grown into the most comprehensive annotated collection of information about student financial aid on the web. Access to FinAid is free for all users.

Financial Aid Scholarship Search (Fast Web)

As the oldest and most popular free online scholarship matching service, the Fast Web database has more than 600,000 scholarships totaling over $1 billion. They have a full-time research staff that adds nearly 250 new scholarships each week and updates scholarship information daily. FastWeb also notifies students when new scholarships are added and application deadlines are approaching.

GrantsNet

GrantsNet is a searchable, continuously updated, database of funding opportunities in biomedical research and science education. It contains programs that offer training and research funding for graduate and medical students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior faculty, as well as programs in science, math, engineering, and technology for undergraduate faculty and students. Special tools and resources will help you customize your search to quickly find the information you need, keep you up to date with the latest trends in research and education funding, and give you the inside scoop on how to write winning grant applications.

National Science Foundation

The NSF funds research and education in science and engineering, through grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements. The Foundation accounts for about 20 percent of federal support to academic institutions for basic research.

NASA Education Program

Annually, NASA offers a rich slate of enrichment and study opportunities for students and educators, ranging from grade school to post-doctorate levels. Program information and application forms can be located from the NASA Education Home Page

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Science to Achieve Results (STAR) - Graduate Fellowships

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as part of its Science to Achieve Results (STAR) program, is offering Graduate Fellowships for master's and doctoral level students in environmental fields of study. The deadline for receipt of pre-applications for this year has passed. Subject to availability of funding, the Agency plans to award approximately 65 new fellowships by July 20, 2007. Master's level students may receive support for a maximum of two years. Doctoral students may be supported for a maximum of three years, usable over a period of four years. The fellowship program provides up to $37,000 per year of support per fellowship.
