Tuition Waiver Information

FSU Employees are eligible for a tuition scholarship that can cover tuition costs for up to 6 hours at FSU for any full time FSU employee in good academic standing. A memo on this program can be found on the Office of Human Resources website.

Graduate assistants who have at least a one-quarter time assistantship (teaching or research) or students on a fellowship of at least $3,150 per term are eligible for a tuition waiver.

Insofar as they are available, out-of-state tuition and matriculation fee waivers are reserved for full-time, degree-seeking graduate assistants and fellows. Graduate assistant and fellowship stipends are normally subject to federal income tax.

Provisional, special, and part-time students at the graduate level are not eligible for tuition waivers. Tuition waivers must be submitted by the appropriate school or college by the third day of classes. General tuition waiver information is available or please contact Ms. Catherine Cottrell at 850-644-3500 or email: gradstds@www.fsu.edu.

Cancellation Conditions:

Waivers are canceled if the student withdraws from the University, drops below the required academic load, or terminates the assistantship. Waivers will not cover any dropped classes. The student will be responsible for any fees assessed.
